Last week I invited all my college friends to my house for my birthday party. You know what I cooked? I made hot and spicy spareribs, sautee string bean, almond chicken and bubble tea. My friends were amazed by them. They thought that I must have learnt cooking Chinese food for years. But you know I just bought your book last month! There are probably thousands and thousands of "cooking" related newsletters out there, and most just ramble on about nothing.

The food is mild in taste, is often slightly oily, and vinegar and garlic are common ingredients; food is frequently fried, stewed, or braised.
