They are wrong. You CAN make an organized Yom Tov whether or not you think you are "organized". Success or failure is in your hands. I accidentally stumbled onto this idea of writing a complete guide on How to Make Yom Tov Perfectly Organized after all my Jewish homemaker friends seemed so stressed out when making Shabbos and Yom Tov. I was frustrated that everyone has to figure it out for themselves, when we could learn from each other! It is so painful when you feel so alone, having to reinvent the wheel, trying to figure out how in the world you are going to get all of the cooking, cleaning, shopping, and hosting done along with all of your other life stressors. It can be very overwhelming especially if you've never made Pesach/Passover before or had anyone to support you and teach you in the process. You have to figure it all for yourself. I can imagine that feels very lonesome and frustrating. Some families just wing it. They work like the dickens, trying to keep a smile, knowing that their stress levels impact their kids and they struggle through. But winging it and managing to get it all done just in the nick of time is just a band-aid to the real issue at hand. The only real option is to Let A Professional Organizer Teach you! How else are you going to know how to make Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkos, Chanukah, Purim, Pesach, Lag Baomer, and Shavuos, with all of the Chol Hamoed and Shabbos in between? How many times have you tried to get organized by reading organizing information that is not special to Jewish families, and doesn't include the information we NEED TO KNOW!? Today, You're About To Discover the Truth Your efforts at getting and staying organized for Yom Tov can be restored, developed, nurtured, and transformed! Why should you listen to me? Here’s a little story about me: My family grew up talking about Pesach as doomsday. Even making Shabbos week after week was this hard, anxiety provoking event. My mother seemed overwhelmed constantly. She always got Pesach and Shabbos completed, and was very organized at it. But the amount of anxiety, negativity, overwhelm, stress BEFORE the Yom Tov even happened was palpable to me. Years passed, and when I got married, my husband said, "Wouldn't it be nice to make Pesach at our house?" I panicked. Literally panicked. My response was, "ARE YOU JOKING?" I was stuck in the negativity of watching my parents become depleted every year, sometimes every week, with the efforts of making Shabbos and Yom Tov. I looked around and saw people that actually enjoyed making Shabbos and Yom Tov. I couldn't believe it! They actually loved being in the kitchen, working over their challah dough, and cleaning their houses for Pesach. So being the hardworker that I am, I set myself on a mission. To find out how to go about managing the home. More specifically, my Jewish home. I studied what made other homemakers successful. Without opening myself up to feeling inadequate or inferior. It was challenging and I considered myself to be on a "fact-finding mission". Little by little, I began to try methods of Jewish homemaking. Some worked, some didn't work. For example, cooking in large quantities and freezing worked. Doing the laundry on set days every week did not work. Baking challah for me did not work. My husband loves to do it. I took a lot of notes. Saved some documents on my computer with names like "Pesach Plan" and "Purim Notes". My friends saw that I was making Yom Tov easily and they asked for copies of my plans. I put my plans up on a website so I could share with them and make it easy for them to print. Other people started finding my website and asking for copies of my Yom Tov organizing plans also. I never expected to get the response I am getting! When I decided to put my plans up for sale, I couldn't believe how many people wanted them. I guess I wasn't the only one that wanted more guidance on getting organized for Yom Tov. I don't tell you this to brag and boast but I just want to help you realize what's possible. I started with negative experiences and turned them into positive ones ... You can do the same. It's true... But you need to have the correct methods to do so. You Can Follow the Easy, Step by Step Methods Towards Making Yom Tov and Never Have To Ask Anyone Else's Advice, Worrying That They Are Way Ahead Of You In Their Preparations Because I've Already Taken Care of All Of That For YouI was angry that so many people like me, never had anyone to teach them the positive, beautiful, easy ways to do it all. So I spent Pesach to Pesach brain-dumping everything I do on paper. I've then put this in to a no fluff... just killer step-by-step techniques that can take anyone from zero or negative experience at making a relaxed Yom Tov to making hundreds of Yomim Tovim perfectly organized for the rest of time! Introducing... The books in the Yom Tov Perfectly Organized Collection are not spiritual discourses on the meaning of the holidays.
I feel that I get my spiritual uplift and meaning from each holiday from the physical act of being a Homemaker. I see the work of cleaning my house and cooking as "avodah". I do need to listen to a Torah tape or go to a Torah class once in a while, but the physical work of managing my house, to me, is precious as well. Therefore, you will not directly get explanations on the Spiritual aspects of the Holidays. But when you follow the formulas in the Yom Tov Perfectly Organized collection... - C.H.A.G.
- The Master Countdowns
- Cleaning Checklists
- Grocery shopping checklists
- Cooking and Menu plans
- Engaging your Kids
- Decorating Projects
...your life will take on meaning from avodah and service of working on your house towards to goal of making Yom Tov and Shabbos. Your service will feel meaningful, manageable, and you and your family will thrive on what the purpose of Yom Tov and Shabbos was meant to be. This is not only what I have to say about the plans but what my readers have been telling me!
Your website was so full of such useful, practical information that I wondered what I could possibly get if I bought the organizers, but oy! no need to worry - more great ideas and true help that was worth far more than what I paid! I am looking forward to years of stress-free, PEACEFUL holidays! Thank you! Thank you! Adrienne Gage |
I am enjoying the course very much. I am not looking at the calendar each day and panicking because there is so much to do. I just do a little each day. I'm even going to have it together enough to paint my kitchen before Passover. I've said that for the last 2 years! It's getting done this year. So thanks. It's very useful. Tracy Kirshner | We had a lovely Pesach. I enjoyed your course because it helped us focus on what needed to be done. It also promoted the idea of teamwork in my household among us 3 females (mom and 2 teenage girls). Rochelle Miller | Even though the Chagim are over I found this ebook very helpful. The organization tips are very valuable for any situation. I liked the sample calendars and lists. Liza Steiger | | Thank you Rivka Slatkin! Being a Baalat Teshuva, and "Domestically Challenged" Pesach preparations always freaks me out! As soon as Purim is over, (or even before) I start worrying about Pesach! I'm always worried that I don't know how to prepare properly (despite my husbands reassurances) and I get easily overwhelmed by everything that needs to be done. This year I can FINALLY STOP DREADING the Pesach preperation because I can follow your amazingly comprehensive guide, step-by-step and not feel so LOST anymore! Now I know EXACTLY WHAT needs to be done WHEN it needs to be done in order to get Pesach made on time. You're ebooks are truly GIFTS from Hashem!
